Getting paid should be the easy part
Harley uses Stripe to handle all payments securely. Players pay when they book, hosts get paid directly. No chasing cash, no spreadsheets, no stress.
Payments are for Club Events only
Payment collection feature is applicable for Club Events exclusively. For Individual Events, hosts arrange payment directly with players outside the app (cash, bank transfer, etc.).

Browse events, book a spot, and pay securely at checkout. The total includes the event price plus a small Service Fee.

The connector
Why Harley uses Stripe
We chose Stripe because it's the gold standard for online payments. It means your money is handled by the same infrastructure trusted by companies like Shopify, Lyft, and Amazon.

Harley never sees or stores your card details. All payment credentials are handled exclusively by Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure. We only receive confirmation that a payment was successful.
For hosts
Connecting your Stripe account
Before you can collect payments for Club Events, you'll need to connect a Stripe account. It takes about 5 minutes and you only do it once.
Open Harley Meets and go to your Club settings
Navigate to your Club, tap the setting tab, and find the "Payments" section. You'll see a prompt to connect Stripe.
Tap "Connect with Stripe"
This opens Stripe's secure onboarding flow. If you already have a Stripe account, you can link it. Otherwise, Stripe will guide you through creating one.
Complete Stripe's verification
Stripe will ask for some standard information to verify your identity. This is required by financial regulations and keeps everyone safe.
You'll typically need:
- Your legal name and date of birth
- Your home address
- Bank account details for payouts (BSB + account number)
- A form of ID (driver's licence or passport) in some cases
You're live!
Once you've completed the onboarding process, you can start creating events and collecting payments right away. It may take 10 minutes to up to 48 hours for Stripe to fully verify your bank account, but this won't hold you back from getting started.
Once connected, payment collection can't be turned off
This is by design — it ensures a consistent, reliable experience for players booking your events. All Club Events will require payment at registration.

When do payouts arrive?
When a player pays, the money hits your Stripe account immediately. Stripe then transfers it to your bank account on a rolling schedule — typically 2-3 business days for Australian bank accounts.
You can customise your payout schedule (daily, weekly, or monthly) in your Stripe dashboard settings.
What you're responsible for
- Keeping your Stripe account and bank details up to date
- Handling refunds and disputes through your Stripe dashboard
- Responding to any chargebacks from players
- Tracking your earnings for tax purposes
Pricing rules
Event prices must be rounded to the nearest $0.50 AUD. This keeps pricing clean and fee calculations consistent.
